Dr. Pomare, who Ims visited Maori kaingas west of the Main Trunk raihvay between Auckland and Wellington, and also in the King Country and Thames districts, estithe influenza mortality amongst (be Natives in that area, which imdudes the Avbole of (bo Taranaki Province, at about four hundred and fifty. Probably the lol’i of Maoris is a little short of ono thousand.
