BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows: —

The sum of £390 Kis 5d was received during the month of November and placed to credit as under; —District fund account £389 11s sd, cemetery account £7 5s Od. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 30th November, 1018, were as follows; —District fund account, debit, £SOB Is Bd, cemetery account, credit, £35 9s Id, and the ledger balances at the same date as follows: —Cemetery £35 9s 4d, hospital and charitable aid £sl 9s lOd, library £lO 4s 4d, reserves £7O 3s Od, sanitation £l9B 7s Id, town hall £l3B 4s lOd, Whirokino bridge loan interest £23 18s Bd, roads and streets loan £25 3s lid, Shannon bridge loan £22 9s 4d, council chamber Joan £59 11s Id, Whirokino bridge additions £lB 2s Bd, roads and streets No. 2 £9 15s sd, Bench road loan £l2 19s sd, all in credit, a total of £OBI 18s lid. The accounts at debit were: —Imprest cash £lO, gas works £589 17s 4d, general £473 4s 7d, gas works loan interest £l2 12s 4d, and town hall loan interest £O9, total £1,154 14s 3d.
