NOVEMBER WORKING,
The amount of gas manufactured during the mouth of November was 100,800 ft., which, with the amount in the holder on November Ist, 15,000 ft., made a total of 415,800 ft. The amount sold to consumers for lighting was 152,000 ft., for cooking and heating 158,300 ft., and for power 37,000 ft.; 7,000 ft. was used in the street lamps, 10,000 ft, at the works and managers house, and there was 10,000 ft. in the holder on .December Ist, leaving 28,900 ft,, representing seven per cent, of the output, unaccounted for. * Thirty-Jive tons of coal was carbonised, yielding 11,440 feet per ton. MANAGER’S REPORT. The Manager reported as follows : —The amount of gas manufactured during the month of November shows a considerable decrease as against October, but compared with November of last year there is only a decrease of 14,700 ft. in the amount of gas sold, which is very satisfactory when it is taken into consideration that a number of (lie best consumers were put out of action on account of the epidemic. The carbonising plant is working satisfactorily.
