" THE DANGER REALISED. The Prime Minister gave an assurance to Mr Nosworthy, in the House of Representatives on Tuesday that he would make" representations (d the Imperial authorities of the danger of allowing the Meat Trust to get a hold in New Zealand. When at Home on the last occasion he had made urgent representations of the danger to the Dominion and fhe Empire as a whole. His opinion had been supported by the United States Commission, and he believed some weight had been attached to it. He. hoped to sec the report of the United States Commission in (ho bands of every farmer in New Zealand. Legislation, ho mentioned, was now before (be Stock Committee.

Sir Joseph Ward also made known his realisation of the danger of such powerful organisations gaining a foothold in the Dominion.
