A charge of agreeing lo allot money by chance, without being authorised by the Minister for Internal .Affairs to do so, was admitted by Alexander Ifowey AAWlker, in the Police Court, Auckland, last week. Sub-Inspector Wohlmann said the defendant, who was a well-known dentist, advertised offering prizes for the best eribbage score made up of numbers on tram tickets hearing Iris name. There was no element of skill in the competition. Three hundred people participated in the competition, G 8 scored 38 or over, ajul the seven winners each scored lb. Defendant said he divided the prizes, and the winners got about 5s (id each.
