MAN AND BOY MISSING,

Auckland, Oct. IS.

Details of a supposed drowning fatality are reported from Matakana. Frank Witten and his son Frank put out from the Mataknna. beach in it boat on Wednesday night, with cream to be put on board the steamer bound from Amaha to Auckland. As they did not return, search was made during the night, and early yesterday morning the boat Avas found upturned at the loAver end of one of the numerous inlets on the, coast. There avus no trace of the occupants. Witten is a cousin of Air J. H. Gnnson, Mayor of Auckland, and has seven children.
