BOWLING.

The official opening of the Bedding green took place on Saturday afternoon in ideal weather. The green, which is recognised as one of the best in the Dominion,-was in perfect order, and visiting bowlers were present from the Foxton, Woodville, Terrace End and Palmerston Xorth Clubs. The president of the Club, Air Worsfold, welcomed the visitors, and formally opened the green, the first jack being put up by Airs Oakley. In the match in which the Eoxtou players took part the visitors scored on 13 heads, and the home team on eight. The following are the teams and scores: — Foxtou. Feildiug.
