NEW ZEALAND’S TRIBUTE TO FRANCE.
AN APPEAL. The executive committee of the above fund desire to forward a first remittance of £IO,OOO so as to reach France, before the setting in of Avinter and to be used for the purpose of the French Red Cross, and such other relief objects as the French Government may direct. In order to accomplish this a further sum of £2,000 is urgently required, and the Committee feel confident that they Avill not appeal in vain to those Avho realise what France has done in this Avar, and avlio sympathise with the sufferings of her people. The fund is intended as a national recognition by New Zealand of Ibo great Avork of our greatest ally. Contributions Avill he gladly acknoAvledged by the secretary to the fund, whose address is Box fill, Wellington.
