THREE RESIDENTS FINED,

At yesterday’s sitting of the Magistrate's Court, before Mr E. Page, S.M., the Borough Ranger (James McKnight) proceeded against three residents of Hie borough for committing a broach of the by-laws by allowing stock to wander on the roads. None of (he defendants put in an appearance. George Sullivan, charged with allowing a horse to wander on Avenue Road, was lined 10s, with costs 7s. William Rimmer, for allowing two cows at large in Robinson Street, was fined 155,. with costs 7s, and Mrs E. Robinson, the owner of two cows found wandering in Xorbiton Road, was fined 2fis, with o osis 7s.
