SIX CANDIDATES NOMINATED
For (he Wellington Central seal, rendered vacant through the death of Mr R. Fletcher, the following nominations have been received: —
At-more, Harry, signwriter, Nelson
(Radical). Fraser, Peter, labourer and waterside worker, Wellington (Labmir). damson, Lindsay John Frederick, returned soldier, Grey Lynn. Hildreth, William Thomas, merchant, Karori (Liberal and National Government). Mack, Matthew Joseph, secretary A.S.R.S. (Independent- Labour). Tanner, Cyril William, solicitor, Wellington (National Democrat), THE £lO DEPOSIT. The law provides for a deposit of £lO with each nomination. This sum will he forfeited to the Consolidated Fund by any candidate who obtains foAver votes than a fourth of the number polled by the winner of Ihe seat. The names of all nominees will go on Iho ballot paper. If n candidate decide to quit the crowded field, he will he still nominally (on paper) in the election, 1 hough the electors will understand that he is out of the contest.
