THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day :■ — Westerly heavy gales, backing by west to south. The weather will probably be cold and changeable; and unsettled, with rain. Barometer falling, but rising after about 24 hours. Sea heavy, tides good. Sea and tides increasing.
