Our millers will note from the advertising columns that the big Show at Palmerston North is sol down for OelobiT 30th nnd 51st. next. Following the rule laid down in post years, the prize schedule, which is now nvnihible, has been very thoroughly revised, with the very generous allocution of prizemoney nnd trophies for which the Show has become famous. One of the foremost attractions of the event is the jumping, and for these items on the programme high prizemoney is given. For the open hunters’ competition this year fifty guineas are offered as first prize, a bail that should attract the pick of (he Dominion’s hunters. Fifteen guineas are offered in prize-money for fleece wool classes, and a thirtyguinea set of furs is on the list for best lady rider astride. These are only a few of the special prizes, so that those interested should send at once to tin 1 secretary for a copy of the schedule. The usual divisions are provided for, and includeVompetilions, horses, sheep, pigs, (leece wool, hemp, photography, needlework, cookery, schools, etc. Entries for the last four divisions close on sth October, and the first-mentioned on the 12lh October. . All information can be had from the Secretary, Box 85, Palmerston North.
