SPRING SHOW.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NFXT. The local Horticultural Society's Spring Show, to be held in the Town Hall on Thursday and Friday next, will he formally opened by the Alayor at 3 p.m. on Thursday. Entries (dose at !) o'clock tonight, late entries will he received up to !) p.m. to-morrow. The Borough Baud and Mr Betty’s orchestra will be in attendance both evenings. Three trophies are to be competed for —Citizens’ (for three varieties of daffodils, any kind except double or polyanthus, 3 blooms of each), Air A. J. ShaileFs (for three blooms each, trumpet, ineomparabilis and leedsii), and Air AV. G. Bond’s, to be won outright (for 0 classes narcissus, one bloom of each). Entries are coining in freely, and the show promises to be very successful.
