SHIPPING DIFFICULTY.
IMPROVEMENT IN SIGHT. An important announcement in regard to the shipping shortage was made by the Hon. D. H. Guthrie (Minister in Charge of Imperial Supplies) yesterday. “The recent information received from our Leaders at Home,’’ he said, “seems to indicate a further improvement in regard to shipping. We will probably have loading in New Zealand between now and the end of the year at least eighteen steamers of full average capacity.”
