SUPREME COURT.

Napier, August 27. At the Supreme Court, Francis Norton Thompson, solicitor, of Hastings, was charged with the theft of trust moneys totalling £1,780 from a client named Gotfried Petrowski. The jury disagreed, and a new trial was ordered for next sission. Henry Martin, a farm manager, was charged with the theft of five cattle from the bankrupt estate of F. Cassin. Acsused claimed an interest in the cattle, and was found not guilty. Stanley Alexander Lawless was found not guilty of indecent assault.
