Christchurch, August 20. In the Supreme Court an action in which Henrietta Winifred Mason, of 71 Epuni Street, Wellington, the wife of Andrew James Mason, of Christchurch, telegraph linesman, proceeded against William Henry Mason, of 259 North Road, Papanui, fruit-grower, and Lily Mason, his wife, to recover £5Ol damages in connection with an alleged libel, said to he contained in a letter sent from Papanui on 29tli Oetiher, 1917, by Lily Mason to one Edith Parsonson, in which certain allegations were made reflecting on the character of the plaintiff, was concluded, the plaintiff being awarded £SO damages.
