CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
Christchurch August S. 1 At the Supreme Court, the hearing of the charge against James Charles Thomson of committing manslaughter on 29th June by striking Edward Bruce and causing his death, was continued. The jury, after twenty minutes’ retirement, returned a verdict of not, guilty, and Thomson was discharged.
