jAhout 3 o’clock yesterday moruin|;a goods train from Ohakune ran into a slip between Taihape and Mjj.ta.roa. The engine was overtu|hed, and six wagons were badly slashed. Fortunately, no one was injured. ' Passengers on the down express , were transhipped into an, emergency train.
■ The Main Trunk line is blocked by slips between Ohakune and Marton, and it is likely that the obstructs on§ will not be cleared away before Sunday. V
