‘ A Committee meeting of the above wa.4 held last nighty presided over by the president, Mr IV. E. ‘Barber. Correspondence was read (from W. G. Bond, Aokautere, donating a special prize for six classes narcissus; A, J. Shailer, Palmerston N., donating a trophy for three blooms each trumpets, incompara,bilis and leedsii, not confined to one variety in each class, bulbs not to exceed Is fid each in any N.Z. Catalogue, trophy to be won three times. It was decided to thank the donors.
The Bulb Show catalogue, which had been considered by a sub-com-mittee, was then discussed. It was decided that the champion bloom be awarded a prize in each section, A., B. and C., instead of one champion bloom. The additions to the catalogue suggested by the sabcommit tee were agreed to.
As (lie Citizens’ Trophy had been, won outright, it was decided to pn|.-; cure another, and a list was opened' for subscriptions towards purchase of same. , : It was decided,not to restrict size of bowl for exhibit of narcissi in section 99, as it was impossible forexhibitors to procure the size of bo\vl specified, and this prevented a number from exhibiting. An open class for children’s cookery was added. It was resolved to extend the Bulb or Winter Show to two days, in view of the fact that the Autumn Show had been struck out. The dates of the Winter or Bulb Show were fixed for September 12th and 13th.
