YESTERDAY’S BALLOT.
10,000 NAMES WERE DRAWN,
The first ballot for Second Division Reservists in Class C was conducted by the Government Statistician (Mr Malcolm Fraser) yesterday. Ten thousand names were drawn. Mr S. E. M’Carthy, S.M., supervised the drawing, and the Mayor (Mr J. P. Luke) and Mr M, J. Reardon (representing the Trades Council) were also pi’esent. The list of names will be gazetted nest week.
