FOOTBALL.
A football tournament will be held on Monday, June 3rd. The first games wall be played in the morning, and the concluding part in the afternoon. Players are requested to be on the ground at 10.30 a.m. The following will represent the different teams: —
High School. — A. Baker (capt.), R. Hornblow, W. Signal, B. Teviotdale, C. Proctor, N. Robinson. Tuis. —W. McKnigbt (capt.), L. Lenihan, R. McEwen, P. Bright, A.. Berthold, F. Lockwood, S. Beaston.
Local School. — E. Thompson (capt.), S. Thompson, W. Walls, Cr. Westwoods, K. Robinson, K. McMnr’ray, R. Lawton. Montoa. —A. Ried (capt.), H. Walls, W. King, S. Colo, D. Ball, A. Neville, P. Wallis.
Morning. —High School plays Montoa, local School plays Tnis, Montoa plays' local School. Afternoon. —Montoa plays Tnis, High School plays Tnis, High School plays local School.
Mr* W. Sexton will have control of the games.
A team of six local High School boys (captained by Bullard) played seven of the local State School boys (captained by Cummerfield), at the racecourse yesterday. The game resulted in a win for High School by 13 points to three. Bullard, Mandl and Baker scored for the winners, and Cummerfield kicked a penalty goal for the local school. Mr Sexton controlled the game.
