, The shipping space position has now become so 'acute that buying is almost, suspended. Heavy stocks have accumulated in /Auckland, Bluff, Foxton, and Wellington. Most of the Auckland mills have closed. Prices are nominal, as follow: — Good fair £44 per ton, 'high fair £42, low fair £3B. Some merchants have, stopped buying altogether for the time being. ' Costs of sending flax to America are now figured out at £4O per ton, including £25 ■ per ton freights—Post.
