(To the Editor.) Sir.---I was pleased to notice that* the local branch of the newly-form-ed Labour Party look an interest in the school committee election, and although only one of (lie party was elected out of four nominated, still, it showed that the Party was prepared to do its duty as citizens, and (hey set an example to others who should have been present. There is shortly to lie an election for (avo councillors on the Borough Council, and I hope the Labour Party will again stir a little life info civic affairs. I may state, sir, that I have ■no sympathy with'the extreme section of Labour, hut if they only stir up interest in public affairs and compel people to think, they will justify their organisation. —Yours, ete., CITIZEN.
