POLITICAL PROTESTANTS.
SYMPATHIES WITH ULSTER. Wellington, Last Night. The Dominion Conference of the Protestant Political Association today elected the following officers: President, A. Donald; Vice-presi-dents, J. A. Hay, E. McGregor, and Major Johnson; Secretary, H. S. Bilby; Treasurer, S. Aston; National Lecturer, Rev. Howard Elliott; Committee, Hon. W. Earnshaw, Rev, Knowles Smith, J. Middleton, J. Aston, J. S. Dickson, M.P.; Audit tors, E- C. Ludwig and J. Kellow and Son. The Conference passed resolutions expressing their confidence in Sir Edward Carson as the leader in Ulster, and sympathising with Ulstermen in their struggle for lib- % erty and loyalty. Also expressing their satisfaction that the British Parliament had applied conscription to Ireland and trusting that the opposition of the Roman Catholiq Hierarchy and the Sinn Eein organisation would not deter the Government from fulfilling their duty to the Loyalists throughout the Empire.
