MAN DROWNED.

Whangarei, April 21. William Joseph Temple, of Ruatangatft West, while clearing timber at Parua bridge, spanning the Wairoa river, fell into the flooded stream and was carried away without hope of rescue. A search is being made for the body. Deceased leaves a widow and six children.
