ANNUAL MEETING. ..‘The annual general, meeting of the Patriotic Society will be held on Thursday next, at 8 p.m., at the Bprpugh Council Chamber, when the annual report and balance-sheet will he . presented, officers for the coming year elected, and general business transacted. The proposed amalgamation with the National War Funds Council will be brought forward for final discussion. ■ The honorary secretary, Mr A. J. Kellowq has asked to be xelioved of his duties, and a proposition -will be brought forward to call for applications for the position of secretary at a small salary, preference to be given to returned soldiers. All interested in patriotic work, and the public generally, are urgent - ly requested to attend this meeting, at which arrangements for the celebration of Anzac Day will be made.
