ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.
The unmuil meeting of the parishioners of All Saints’ - Church was held in the schoolroom on Thursday night. The vicar, the Key. W. Raine, presided over only a moderate attendance of parishihoners. After the Vicar had read his annual report, which reviewed the work of the past year, lie called upon his warden, Mr A. J. Kellow, to present the annual balance-sheet. This was read, and disclosed a highly satisfactory financial-state of affairs. The vicar announced that Mr A. J. Kellow had consented to act as his churchwarden for another year. Mr- A. S. Easton, who for over thirty years has faithfully occupied the position, was unanimously reelected to the position of people’s warden. : The following gentlemen were elected as the vestry: Messrs F. Robinson, W. E. Barber, R. T. Betty, C. A. C.. Preston, C. H. Symons, R. Turkington, W. Nye, C. Spiers, and S. B. Collins. Mr F. Byrnes was thanked for his services as auditor, and asked to continue in the position. The matter of the proposed alteration of the church franchise was discussed, and a resolution was carried recommending the granting of' the franchise to women on the same basis us it is now given to the men. During the meeting much appreciation was expressed of the work of the Ladies’ Guild,, and the following resolution was unanimously carried: “That this meeting of parishioners .places on record its hearty appreciation of the work of the Ladies 4 Guild.” (The vicar’s report will appear in our next issue.)
