Another game for the Nye Ferns was played on the local green yesterday, between the holders and a challenge team skipped by Mr Rimmer. It was a very close and interesting game throughout, scores bes ing equal on 21st head. In the extra head the holders managed to retain honours by 2 points. Following are the scores: — Holders. Challengers. Stewart M. IT. Walker Bryant Large Christie D. Whibley Nye (s) 24 Rimmer (s) 22 The green played surprisingly well after the recent heavy rains. The fine afternoon Attracted several ladies to the croquet green.
