CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor,) Sir. —With regard to your local in Saturday’s edition stating that some business people were anxious to close right through Easter, and that there was some doubt as to whether there would be unanimity on the point, 1 shall he pleased if you will allow me space to point out that, so far as the Holiday Association is concerned there is no doubt about there being unanimity on the question, and, I may add, the Association is a fairly representative body. Further, I can scarcely credit that there is any member of the Association who, if anxious to close On any certain day, would fail to notify the secretary, or exercise his rights and request the calling of a meeting, thus enabling the matter to be discussed and settled unanimously. as lias been done for years past. There has been, however, no ret|nest from any member to .cull a meeting, and in this ease the holidays will remain as.entered on the minute-hook for last year, viz., Good Friday and Easter Monday only. Thanking von, —yours, etc., CHAS, SIMMONS, ; Hon. See, Holiday Association.
