PATRIOTIC SPORTS.
The third annual sports gathering in aid of the Oroua Downs Red Cross Guild will be held on Wednesday, 27th March, at Mr Hammond’s grounds, Oroua Downs. An interesting programme has been arranged by the committee, a band will be in attendance, and the function will conclude with a dance in the evening. Entries for the various sporting events will close on the ground, and the admission is Is, children half-price. Admission to the dance is; 2s for gentlemen and Is for ladies. The members of the Guild have done such excellent work that they are thoroughly deserving of all the support (hat can lie accorded them, and it is hoped there will he a large crowd to help to swell the funds for their noble cause.
