ALLEGED ABDUCTION OF A GIRL
MAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. Wanganui, Feb. 19. The ease in which a taxi-driver named Loveridge was charged with abducting a gixi under 18 years of age was concluded to-day, the accused being committed for trial in the Supreme Court. Bail was fixed at £2OO self, and sureties of £IOO each. The evidence given was that the girl stayed in a Palmerston N. boardinghouse for eight weeks, the accused spending the week-ends «there. "
