CORRESPONDENCE.

(To flic Editor). Sir.—l should ho glad it! you would kindly allow me to make a final appeal to Hie public*, on behalf of the effort —a sale of work to ho held in the Masonic Hajl to-morrow afternoon and evening—to creet a hut, which will he called “The Manawalu Hul,’’ a I Ihe front. So fains I know, most of the work of attending to the material comforts of our soldiers has boon done by three societies; the Y.M.C.A., the Salvation Army, and the Church Army. Under their care much good work has been done, and hutments, tents, marquees, and oilier buildings have been erected where the needs of the soldiers for rest and refreshment are attended to. The wherewithal to do this work lias been obtained by frequent appeals to a generous public. The Manawatu Hut will be under the charge of the Church Army, and will be open to any soldier, irrespective of his cx-eed or colour. We are asked to raise £SO as our quota, and I ask the public to extend their support to such a good w r ork. I will gladly acknowledge any subscriptions towards the movement.—l am, sir, yours, etc., tV. RAINE.
