THE WAR CABINET.
NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATIVES. PARLIAMENT TO MEET IN APRIL. At a special meeting of Cabinet on Tuesday it was decided that Mr Massey and Sir Joseph Ward should represent New Zealand at the sittings of the War Cabinet and Imperial Conference to be held in London in June. It was also decided that Parliament, in order to fit in with the arrangements of Great Britain and the other Dominions of the Empire, should be called together early in April. The Right. Hon Mr Massey made the following announcement on Tuesday evening regarding these questions:—“New Zealand is to be represented at the meeting of the War Cabinet, and the representatives of New Zealand will be the Prime Minister and Sir Joseph Ward, their selection to be subject to the approval of Parliament. A shorf session of Parliament will be held prior to their departure for England, and it is suggested that this session will open on or about Tuesday, 9th April, to make the necessary arrangements to enable the Now Zealand representatives to go to Britain.”
