THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cabled yesterday as follows; — Manila hemp: There is nothing fresh. Reports indicate that the United States Government will take control of the purchase anij distribution, but no definite information is available. The output for the third week in January was 19,000 bales. New Zealand business is dull, and confined to parcels already shipped, buyers being not disposed to go on at the present prices in view of uncertain delivery.
