ATTEMPTED MURDER AND SUICIDE.
Wanganui, Jan. 25.
Catherine Milne, 25 years of ago, pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to ajcharge of attempted murder, in respect of a child named Fedelis May Barron, 3f years of age. She was also charged with attempted suicide. The evidence showed that; accused had dissolved antiseptic pills and administered a solution to the girl. She then took some herself, and gave the alarm. Assistance was quickly at hand, and both recovered. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
