WEDDING.
McAllister—do berei-ma-RONI. A pretty military wedding took place on January 9th, at St. Mary’s Church, Karori (Wellington), the bride being Miss Ida de Berri-Ma-roni (late of Foxton), and the bridegroom Mr J. W. McAllister (also late of Foxton). The marriage was solemnised by the Rev. G. Y, Woodward, vicar of St. Mary’s, and who was for some years vicar of All Saints’ Church, Foxton. The bride wore a dress of wbite crepe de <‘hine and ninon finished with pearls' and an embroidered veil and a wreath of orange blossom, and carried a sheaf of white flowers. Miss Gertrude Lumsden (late of Foxton) was chief bridesmaid, and wore a dress of white erepe de chene, a bunch of yellow roses. Miss Maudie. Rice was second bridesmaid, and wore a white voile dress, a blaek bat trimmed with liny pink roses, and carried a bunch of pink roses. Miss Mavis Ghmville (the bride’s little niece) was flowergirl, and was dressed in pale
pink voile, a pale pink silk hat, and carried a basket of pink flowers. The bride was giyfn away by her brother, Pte. C. J. Maroni, who has lately returned Horn France. Mr Reg. Rice was host man, and Mr G. Whitson (the, bride’s brother) was groomsman.
The bridegroom, 1 lie bride's Iwo brothers, ;md (lie licst man are all returned soldiers, and Anzaes, and were in uniform; The wedding breakfast was served at Godher's, Cuba Street. Mr and Mrs McAllister left by the afternoon train for Maslerton. Their future home will be in Eketalmna.
