L * ' HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled yesterday as follows: — New maximum prices have been fixed, and will be announced later. NEW MAXIMUM PRICES FIXED. INCREASED BY £ls PER TON. London, Jan. 13. The Army Council has fixed new maximum prices for New Zealand hemp as follows; Good fair £99 per ton; high point fair £97; fair, £96. The above prices represent an increase on the maximum first fixed in August last of £ls per ton, the previous prices being good fair £B4, high fair £B2, and fair £BO. Since the first fixing of maximum prices the freight on hemp has increased £6 17s 6d per ton.
