AT THE SEASIDE.

The local seaside presents a very animated appearance, and every one appears to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. All day long groups of children may be seen disporting themselves in the shallow water on the river foreshore. In the evening, happy barefooted couples promenade along the beach. Alany bathers prefer a dip in the briney. The dressing sheds on the river foreshore and on the ocean beach have been greatly appreciated by visitors. Some young vandals have amused themselves by destroying the clothes pegs at the ocean beach shelter. An example will be made of the first one caught in such acts of wilful destruction.

Air and Airs Grant, of the post office store, have had a particularly busy time.

All the houses arc let up to the end of tlic month, and many on to Easter.

Visitors, are hero from Feilding, and as far south as Masterton.

Some youngsters want touching up with the parental birch, as their jokes are carried a little too far. While bathing in the ocean the other evening some young ladies had their clothes removed from the dressing shelter and hidden beneath thosand.

A good deal of boating and fishing had been indulged in, and parties visit the opposite bank and picnic there.

Every precaution is taken to safeguard the youngsters from accident.
