BOWLING.
Yesterday afternoon a rink of Palmerston bowlers at present holi-day-making at the local seaside, visited the Foxton green and played a match against the rink skipped by Nye which is to play in the triangular contest between Shannon, Levin, and Foxton to-morrow. The local team was successful by a margin of seven points. The teams and scores

A game of fifteen heads was also played-last evening between two of the other teams that take part in tomorrow’s competition, the opposing skips being Hawke and F. D. Whibley. The game was a very closely contested one, being decided by the last bowl, Hawke drawing the shot and winning the match. The teams were:—
Lumsden Healey Afandl Barr Crawlov E. Walker
Hawke (s) 10 F. Wliibley (s) 15
The final of the series of triangular matches between the Shannon, Levin and Foxton Clubs will lie played on the local green to-morrow afternoon, when four rinks from Foxton will play . two each from Shannon and Jsevin. The compel ition is to be decided on the aggregate score. The scores in the two matches already played are: Levin 139, Shannon 103, Foxton 70.
