A FIGHTING FAMILY.
THEIR CHRISTMAS BOX FROM FRANCE. Probably the proudest recipient of a Christmas box this year is Mr D. J. S. Hickson, of Wellington (says the Dominion), who has received from France (via London) 'the following letter;— Dear Father.—We are sending you this pipe for Christmas. Hoping it reaches you in time.—Your affectionate sons, WILFRED HAROLD NOEL KEITH CLAUDE CLARENCE. Still another son was recently invalided to New Zealand as the result of wounds received in France. An elder ,son, Richard, gave his life for his country in the South African War. A great record! Mr Hickson is an ex-Foxton-resi-dent, and was recently hack in Foxton residing for some time at the Beach. The son who has been invalided home, Arthur, resided here before going to the front, and other members of the family are wellknown locally.
