BOWLING.

The second of the series in (he triangular contest between the Foxton, Shannon and Levin Clubs will be played on the Levin green tomorrow afternoon, when two rinks each from Shannon and Foxton will play four rinks from the Levin Club. The following players will comprise the Foxton Club’s rinks Large, Crawley, Woods, Nye (s), and E. Walker, Lumsden, D. Whibley, F. D. Whibley (s).

The following arc results of ladder competition games played on the local green recently: —Crawley 22 beat Mandl 14, Dimmer 19 beat Nye Hi, Large 22, beat Mandl 1(5, and Jackson 30 beat Cropquest 11.

To-morrow week, the 19th inst., will a big day on the local green., visiting teams being expected from all of the surrounding clubs. All arrangements in connection with same arc being made by the Manawatu Centre, and provided the weather is favourable, it promises to bo the most successful day’s bowling yet held on the local green. Play will commence at 9 o’clock ip the morning, and with the excepliop of intervals for lunch and refreshments, will continue all day. Bocal players who wish to take part should put their paipes on the board ajj the green provided for the purpose us early as possible, so that • tin* rinks cap be prrapged. --
