CONCERT AT RANGIOTU.
A very successful concert took place in the Rangiotu Hall last night, under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church. Despite the heavy downpour of rain, there was a good attendance, and the audience was amply repaid for braving the elements, judging by their keen appreciation of the programme, Every performer was recalled. The vocal items were particularly good, and were contributed by Foxton and Palmerston talent. Those contributing to the programme ere; Mesdames Freeman, Tcviotdale, Cronquest, Misses Bryant and D. Signal, and Messrs Hooker, Cronquest and Hornblow, of Foxton, and Misses Vera Graham, Williamson, Voss, Young and Mr McEwen, of Palmerston. The accompaniments were played by Mesdames Freeman, Cronquest, Misses Bett, Signal and McEwen. The Hev. J. H. Bredih, who presided, accorded a vote of thanks on behalf of the Rangiotu folks to the performers, and to those who conveyed them to the concert. At the conclusion the performers were entertained at supper by the ladies of Rangiotu.
