THEFTS OF MONEY.

At the Police Court yesterday, Rowland P. Beste was charged with the theft of six sums of money, totalling £l2 18s. The accused started a debt-collecting agency in August, and obtained a number of debts to collect from shopkeepers, doctors, lawyers, and others, but failed to account 'for the money. The Magistrate made an order for the detention of the accused for reformative treatment for a period not exceeding three years.
