SPRING SHOW.

TOWN HALL TO-DAY AND TOMORROW. '

The local Horticultural Society’s'-' Annual Spring Show will he held in the Town Hull to-day and to-mor-row. The number of entries easily" constitutes a record. The interior of the hall this morning presented a very animated appearance. The class stewards had everything' in order for receiving exhibits, which are displayed to the best advantage. Never before in the Society’s history has there been such a magnificent display of gorgeous and choice blooms. The interior of the' hall this morning, when the exhibits were in readiness for the judges, presented a magnificent spectacle, The perfume of the flowers and (ho radiant colours was a sight for the gods. This year’s cut blooms eclipses any other previous exhibitions. The sweet peas pud roses are n feature.

The cookery, decorative and school work divisions a,re well represented. The complete prize-list will appear in ohn next issue. The-Society’s sweet pea trophy was won by Mrs Kenton again" this year.

Miss 0. -Nye won the Wilchell trophy outright this year for champion rose.

Miss Speirs won Mrs A. S. Easton’s trophy for six roses. '

Mrs Galland won Mrs Symons’ trophy for best collection of sw«yd peas, named.
