The Society is calling a public meeting to be held at the Council Chamber on Monday evening next, at 8 o’clock, to consider the proposal to amalgamate the Society -with the National War Funds Council. The executive has already discussed the matter fully with Mr J. W. A large attendance is earnestly requested, and all are invited. The Patriotic Shop will be in charge of Mesdames McMurray and •teuton on Saturday next, and proceeds’will be devoted to the Wounded* Soldiers’ Fund.
