WELLINGTON NORTH SEAT.
TWO CANDIDATES DECLARED. Mr J. P. Luko, C.M.G., Mayor of Wellington, has been asked to become a candidate for the Wellington North seat in the event of the At-torney-General (Hon. A. L. Herdman) shortly resigning his position in the House p| : Representatives on his appointment to the position of a Judge of the Supreme Court, Mr Luke will have the support of the National Government. The candidature of Col. John G. Hughes, C.M.G., D. 5.0., for the Wellington North seat is. definitely announced. No candidate has yet been selected on behalf of the Labour Party, but it is anticipated that a candidate will be put forward by that par(y.
