WAR SERVICE BY ALIENS.

Auckland, Yes terda y. The altitude of the Government in regard to war service by aliens in the Dominion was referred to by the Minister of Defence. Sir James Allen said the Government would be very glad to do all it could to assist aliens to get to the front if they wore natui’alised. Those who were not naturalised but w r erc loyal to the Allies’ cause, although it might not be possible to place them with the New Zealand Forces, the Government would he glad to help to reach the front and light with their own people. The Minister held a private conference on Saturday evening with the Jugoslavs, The matters discussed will be laid before Cabinet.
