RESERVIST ARRESTED.

Pahiatua, Nov. G. John Franz Eugene Baucke, of Pahiatua, who was drawn in the ballot some months ago, and disappeared the day before he was warned to parade, was arrested at midv night last night at the foot of the Tararua Range, on the Palmerston side. It is believed he has been hiding in the bush. The police on both sides of the range hud been keeping a good look-out. The arrest was made by the Palmerston police.
