CANCELLED LEAVE OF MAIN BODY MEN.

Speaking in the House of Representatives on ’Thursday afternoon, the Minister of Defence read a communication from Brigadier-General Chaytor, on the subject of the cancellation by the Imperial authorities of the arrangement that men of the Main Body should be alloAvcd to come back to Ncav Zealand on furlough. All ranks, said Col. Chaytor, accepted Hie disappointment Avith excellent spirit. Sir James Allen added that the change of disposition Avas made at the instance of the Imperial Government, and not of the Ncav Zealand Government.
