BOWLING.

This year a triangular competition, Avhich it is intended to make an annual affair, will be played be-t-Aveon the Foxton, Shannon and Levin Clubs. Three matches Avill be played, one on each of the three gi'cens, and the home Club Avill play four rinks against lavo rinks each from the other lavo clubs. The first contest has been fixed to be played on the Shannon green‘on November 14th, when four rinks from that Club will play tAvo rinks each from Levin and Foxton. The second match Avill be played on the Levin green, on December 11th, and the last at Foxton on January 9th. The club gaining the highest aggregate score throughout the competition Avill be the Avinner, and it is hoped to provide a shield to be held by the Avinning club each year.
